Bank of India was founded in 1906 by prominent entrepreneurs from Mumbai (then Bombay), Maharashtra. It was a private entity until the nationalisation of 14 banks across India in 1969.
The headquarters of Bank of India is in Mumbai. There are a total of 4,828 branches of Bank of India across the country, with 50 zonal offices controlling operations of all the branches.
