The Software Industry of India has played an active role in placing the nation on an international map. As per National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), the Indian Software industry grew between 5-7% during 2009-10. Moreover the IT-BPO sector of India registered a 12% growth in 2009 attaining total revenue US$ 71.7 billion, while IT-BPO exports recorded a 16% growth in the same year with aggregate revenue of US$ 47.3 billion

In the FY 2008-09, the software and services exports incorporating IT services and software product exports, BPO, engineering and R&D services, touched USD 47 billion. The total software exports contributed to 78% to the entire revenue of IT and software services amounting to USD 59.7 bn. As per the NASSCOM-McKinsey market research the entire targeted market for overseas offshoring is around USD300 billion out of which USD120 billion will be offshored by the FY 2010.

2010 Budget Software Industry Expectations proposed by NASSCOM are setting up of software technology parks of India (STPI) with measures similar to that of SEZ plans, allotment of greater tax incentives for Indian BPO industry and implementation of public-private partnership (PPP) projects for speedy execution.

1. Govt. should reduce Tax burden on salaried class. 2. Interest payable part for House Loan should be increased from 1.5L to atleast 2.5L. 3. Govt. should stop betrying with us. During last budget, FM withdraw FBT but once all the election over for center and state they introduced new tax on Perks that to on employee and given effective date as April,09. Its a too much of tax burden on Salaried class during end of the year.

Please stop targeting professionals. Try to come up with a way which can stop corruption by targeting people who are earning black money. Or else the day will come when these professionals will also have side business to earn black money to earn their living.
