Finance Minister P Chidambaram's Google Hangout on Budget at 8 pm Today

This will be the first time, when the Finance Minister, P. Chidambaram, will answer the citizens' questions on this year's Budget at 8 pm on 4th March 2013. People can submit their queries by uploading a video, commenting on Youtube or via the Google India Page and tagging the text or video with the hashtag #askthefm.

If you have a question on the Budget 2013-14, you can directly ask the Finance Minister P. Chidambaram as he will be taking live questions on Google Hangout, which is a multi-user online video chat platform.

The Finance Minister will be accompanied by a group of selected panelists including Jahangir Aziz - Senior Asia Economist and India Chief Economist, JP Morgan; Anand Mahindra - Chairman and Managing Director, Mahindra & Mahindra; and Amit Singhal - Senior Vice-President, Google Inc.

P. Chidambaram will be counted among other powerful personalities who interacted with netizens (i.e. citizen over the Internet) on Google Hangout. The list includes US President Barack Obama, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib, Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi who had connected with voters during his election campaign in Gujarat.

Google+ Hangouts is a multi-user video chats which allow up to 10 users to participating at a point of time. The video chat stream can be shared later on Youtube or it can also be streamed live using Hangouts on air.
