Implementation of Budget Announcements



Implementation of Budget Announcements indicates the ways in which the various agendas of the budget would be implemented. It is a brochure placed before the House of Parliament alongside the Budget by the Union Finance Minister.

The Implementation of Budget Announcements contains the status of implementation of announcements made in the Budget is compiled in keeping with the endeavor of the Government of India to promote transparency and accountability.

Implementation of Budget Announcements is presented in a particular format. All informations are listed under the following heads:
  • Serial Number
  • Paragraph Number
  • Budget Announcement
  • Status of Implementation
Paragraph Number acts as a reference to a particular budget announcement. It indicates the paragraph of the Budget in which the announcement is contained.

Budget Announcement mentions the actual clause that is contained in the Budget. Like Paragraph Number, Budget Announcement can also be used for reference purposes.


Status of Implementation is the most important feature of Implementation of Budget Announcements. It informs about the present situation of the work under the respective agendas, and highlights the amount of work that has been completed and that which is still left. In case of the former, the column is summed up with the words "Action completed".
