Over the last few decades, various
offshore service providers and
global organizations have come up with
offshore infrastructure service lines like
IT Infrastructure management and other vital
business processes.
According to these organizations,
remote management is going to be the next big thing taking place under
offshore infrastructure services.
HCL Comnet and
Wipro are leading from the front in this emerging market. Other organizations who are forming partnerships, striking successful deals and have good marketing presentations and client references include
Tata Consulting Services (TCS), Cognizant Technology Solutions, ITC Infotech, Infosys, Satyam Computer Services, Patni Computer Systems, and
Sify. Majority of the
vendors intend to communicate the option of entering this growing market in response to the growing demands for these services. The leadership for
offshore providers will be determined on how well these
offshore providers present their products and
sell infrastructure services that facilitate high level end-to-end services. To secure a dominance in the
offshore infrastructure services market,
remote infrastructure management will not be enough, as mighty competitors like
Hewlett-Packard, IBM, and
EDS are going all out in terms of providing innovative offshore services.
Although
global organizations are planning to
offshore infrastructure and various other services to India and even though there are many
vendors who are interested in being a part of this growing market, there are many
vendors in India who are not ready for these assets. According to a market research, there are many
firms in India that have mastered applications outsourcing, and are not prepared to take up the challenge of
offshore infrastructure management. The report suggested that
infrastructure and consulting deals require “feet on the street” - something Indian vendors are not ready to offer at this point of time.
Infrastructure Management (IM) applications fulfills a crucial role in tracking the performance of the network, across all links. Most of the organizations invest huge sums of money to build up
IT infrastructure to support their business goals and objectives, but they need to deploy the basic tools in a proper order to effectively manage their
IT resources. So to attract more clients to
offshore infrastructure services in India, a strong
infrastructure needs to be built and basic tools need to be put in place.
