TATA Infrastructure refers to TATA Infrastructure Fund which is an open ended equity fund that was launched by TATA Mutual Fund on 25th November, 2004.

TATA Infrastructure - Objective
The objective of this investment is to facilitate income distribution. This investment also offers medium to long term capital gains by investing primarily in equity and equity related issues of companies in the infrastructure sector.

TATA Infrastructure - Investment strategy
In most cases, TATA Infrastructure Fund invests a minimum of 70% of its total assets in equity and equity related issues of companies in the infrastructural sector. This constitutes a high-risk investment.

TATA Infrastructure Fund can also invest upto 30% of net assets in the debt or money market issues for offering capital preservation and ongoing liquidity. The level of risk in this kind of investment ranges from low to medium. For debt and money market issues, TATA Infrastructure Fund will not invest in securitized debt beyond 50% of the scheme's debt component.

For both equity, equity related instruments, debt and money market instruments, the minimum investment amount is ` 5,000.

TATA Infrastructure - Liquidity and options
The options available to TATA Infrastructure Fund investors are dividend and growth. As far as liquidity is concerned, investors can purchase, sell, and switch their investments on any working day.

TATA Infrastructure - Entry and exit load
The entry load for investments of ` 2 crore or more, there is no entry load. But the entry load for investments of less that ` 2 crore is 2.25%.

Further, there is no exit load for investment amounts of ` 2 crore or more. However, investment amounts of less that ` 2 crore entail an exit load of 1% if redeemed within six months from the allotment date.
