The Gulf Oil Corporation's division for specialty chemicals has a manufacturing unit near Hyderabad. The company produces intermediates for analgesic, anti-depressants, anti-histamines, cardiac medicines and ingredients for Active Pharma. The Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd.'s division for IDL has around 8 plants all over India. They manufacture detonators, cartridge explosives, and metal plates that are clad with explosives.
