JBF Industries was established in as a private limited company but in 1986, it was renamed JBF Synthetics Ltd. and was changed into a public limited company. Again in 1989, the company converted its name to the existing one - JBF Industries Ltd.

The total income of the JBF Industries amounted to Rs. 2898.80 million in 2005-2006 and the next year this figure amounted to Rs. 4953.80 million. The net profit of the company amounted to Rs. 165.40 million in 2005-2006 and the next year the figure stood at Rs. 264.70 million.
