Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited, commonly known as AIC, began functioning from 1st April, 2003. It offers insurance protection over agriculture and allied activities. AIC was formed by the Government of India.
AIC aims at accelerating the economic momentum of India by stabilizing conditions in rural India. Agriculture Insurance Company provides rural-oriented and farmer- friendly insurance products.
