Dharamsi Morarji Chemical Co. Limited (DMCC) is an ISO: 9001-2000 certified company and is quite well known for its expertise in the production of organic fertilizers, mixed fertilizers, micronutrients, and growth promoters.

DMCC had established its first plant at Ambernath, east of Mumbai, way back in 1919. The company was into the business of manufacturing sulphuric acid at that time. However, it soon extended its periphery to include fertilizers and within the next few decades, it became one of the major producers of phosphate fertilizers. Since then, DMCC has been catering to and boosting the Indian agricultural sector with its fertilizers and fertilizer-related products.

DMCC has become the largest manufacturer of sulphonyl chlorides, chlorosulphonic acid, and superphosphate fertilizers. Apart from manufacturing fertilizers, DMCC has been producing important chemicals as well. The company supplies a huge bulk of chemicals and at the same time enjoys valuable credibility and goodwill in its chemical technology as well.

DMCC Manufactures the following fertilizers:

• Single Superphosphate (Powder and Granule) - Very important for crops such as Maize, Mango, Groundnut, Pomegranate, Mustard, Onion, Sugarcane, Gram, Sunflower, Potato, Paddy, Grape, Jowar, Banana, Soybean, and Orange. The fertilizer protects the crops from disease, pests, and insects.
• Boronated Single Superphosphate (Borophos) - Borophos is has been used more extensively for crops such as groundnuts, sugarcane, potato, maize, onion, grapes, coconut, cotton, and Soybeans. All of these crops have responded well to this fertilizer.

DMCC fertilizers have been successful in contributing to improvement of crop growth and enhancing agro-production. The company has established a worker-friendly environment within its campus promoting employee health and safety. The following are the measures taken to facilitate employee safety at DMCC:

• Examination of eye-wash fountains, fire extinguishers, hydrant system, and safety showers
• Ambulance and medical services available 24 hours
• Employees are trained and drills are conducted for emergency situations
• All DMCC products are under research study and are reviewed on annual basis
