The Union Ministry of Panchayat Raj and Confederation of Indian Industry jointly have started the Rural Business Hub Initiative in Andhra Pradesh. RBH Initiative in Andhra Pradesh has started to take roots in the state due to the efforts that are being made by the Panchayat Raj Ministry.

The Initiative for Rural Business Hub in Andhra Pradesh is a Private Public Panchayat Partnership. Rural Business Hub Initiative in Andhra Pradesh has been set up in the state so that it encourages industrial entrepreneurship to come to the rural areas and set up their businesses based on local communities and skills.

The main objective of Rural Business Hub Initiative in Andhra Pradesh is to build up such an economic activity in the rural areas that is sustainable. This will help the rural areas in Andhra Pradesh to grow in a flourishing manner and will also provide more job opportunities to the people. Further the aim of Rural Business Hub Initiative in Andhra Pradesh is that it will also help in the infrastructure development of the rural areas in the state.

The various reasons for the setting up of Rural Business Hub Initiative in Andhra Pradesh are that the existing supplies chains and market structure in the rural areas of the state provides very less incentives to the farmers. As a result of this the farmers do not have any desire to grow better quality of products and also they are not being able to grade or standardize their products. The same treatment is also given to the rural artisans. The traditional skills that are available in the rural areas of Andhra Pradesh have stagnated as there are no fresh inputs on raw material, design, marketing support, new technologies, and product diversification been provided to them. This has led to the deterioration of the living standards of the people in the rural areas of Andhra Pradesh. Rural Business Hub Initiative in Andhra Pradesh was set up in the state to do away with all these evils.

The various advantages of Rural Business Hub Initiative in Andhra Pradesh are that it has helped to set up in the rural areas of the state, units for soil testing, demonstration and model farms gardens, laboratories for tissue culture, vermi-composting units, R&D centers, biocontrol laboratories, and facilities for cold storage. The setting up of all these facilities has helped the farming community of the rural areas of Andhra Pradesh for the quality of their products has improved a lot. The farmers are now getting better price for their products as the quality of their products has improved. This in its turn has improved the economic condition of the rural people.

Rural Business Hub Initiative in Andhra Pradesh has received from two agro- processing companies an expression of interest. The companies want to buy directly from the farmer’s agricultural products. This has given a major boost to the Initiative of Rural Business Hub in Andhra Pradesh.

Rural Business Hub Initiative in Andhra Pradesh has helped in improving the infrastructure in the rural areas of the state. Thus the government of the state of Andhra Pradesh should make further attempts to boost the Rural Business Hub Initiative here. For this in its turn will uplift the condition of the rural people even more.
