Rural Business Hub Initiative in Uttar Pradesh has been established due to the initiative taken by the Confederation of India Industry and the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. The aim of Rural Business Hub Initiative in Uttar Pradesh is to bring about an all round development of the rural areas of the state.
The Initiative of Rural Business Hub in Uttar Pradesh is based on the Thai model One- Tambon- One Product (OTOP) and also on the concept of Public Private Panchayat Partnership (PPPP). The various members of Rural Business Hub Initiative in Uttar Pradesh are:

The various objectives of Rural Business Hub Initiative in Uttar Pradesh are:
- To work along with the government of the state in order to improve the rural areas of the state
- To set up a direct link between the industry and the economy of the rural areas
- To incorporate industry for the improvement of the quality of the resources that are available locally and to manufacture goods that are nationally and internationally accepted
- To provide the industry with a mechanism through which they will be able to directly procure agricultural products from the farmers
Rural Business Hub Initiative in Uttar Pradesh does not restrict its activities only to the agricultural sector. RBH in Uttar Pradesh looks after the welfare of various other sectors that operate in the rural areas of the state such as food processing, handicraft and hand loom products, aquaculture produce, bio- fuels, medicinal plants, and poultry farming. The various advantages of Rural Business Hub Initiative in Uttar Pradesh are that it has brought in a large number of industries into the rural areas of the state. This has generated a lot of employment opportunities for the rural people in the state, which in its turn has given boost to their economic condition.
Further the various advantages of the Initiative of Rural Business Hub in Uttar Pradesh are that it has improved the infrastructure in the rural areas of the state by setting up R&D centers, biocontrol units, cold storage facilities, soil testing laboratories, tissue testing laboratories, and model farms. The industries have also helped the rural people by bringing with them the latest technology, skill and training development, value addition, agricultural inputs, marketing and branding, practices for good farming, and quality and standard increasing measures. All this has helped the rural people a great deal to increase their incomes due to better quality, increased production, low costs of transportation, and development of entrepreneurship.
Rural Business Hub Initiative in Uttar Pradesh thus has taken several steps in order to bring about the development of the rural areas of the state. The initiative taken up by the Rural Business Hub in Uttar Pradesh must continue this way so that it can improve the quality of life of the rural people in the state even more in the coming days.
