Jharkhand Tourism is the upcoming sector that earns a profitable business for the state of Jharkhand in India. Jharkhand is rich in natural resources like waterfalls, hills, lakes, mineral water springs and is also well known for the wildlife reserves and National Parks. The tourists love to visit the different travel spots of this newly found state in India to enjoy the serene and pristine beauty of nature.

Jharkhand is mostly a tribal state with colorful fairs and festivals attracting many travelers all the year round. The most famous festival among the tribes of Jharkhand is known as Sarhul. Not only Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand, is a well known tourist spot there are other travel circuits like Chotanagpur, Hazaribagh, Mc Cluskieganj, Palamau, Netarhat, Parasnath, and Deoghar or Baidyanathdham. Waterfalls like the Lodh Falls, Dassam Falls, Jonha Falls and Hundru Falls are also worth a visit under the Jharkhand tourism.

Ranchi, being the most important city of Jharkhand, attracts maximum tourists every year. This is a hill station surrounded by small hillocks all around the city along with fresh water waterfalls all over. Some of the most popular and interesting travel-spots to visit in Ranchi are like-

Wildlife tourism in Jharkhand flourishes with the wildlife sanctuaries and the national parks hosting a variety of flora and fauna along with many species of birds. Among these mention worthy are Betla National Park at Palamau and Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary. The tiger-census survey was carried out in the Betla National Park for the first time in the world and the Indian government has set up resorts for the tourists amidst the rich dense forests of Betla. The Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary, other than preservation of the wildlife, is also attracting many interested tourists because of the recent discoveries of the rock paintings and stone age archaeological findings at that site.

Apart from these major tourist spots there are some more places to visit under the Jharkhand tourism like the Topchanchi Lake, Maithon and Panchet Dams, Rajrappa, Urwan Tourist Complex, power cities like Jamshedpur and Bokaro. In the coming days one can expect a more heavy influx of tourists in Jharkhand with the further development of the Jharkhand tourism sector.
