Facilities of Andhra Pradesh Special Economic Zone are spread over an area of around 4,134 hectares and the special economic zone is located in the Kakinada district of Andhra Pradesh. It provides a lot of incentives to the sectors which are to be involved in SEZs.

The soil condition of the belt in Andhra Pradesh where the Special Economic Zone will be set up is quite appropriate for the establishment of industries and other units. Further, the topography in the Atchuthapurm-Rambilli belt is usually plain terrain and has only very few curves. This belt which has been selected as the special economic zone by the Government of India is also situated close to Visakhapatnam and in addition to that it is in close vicinity to the sea shore. One of the most important and attractive advantages of the Andhra Pradesh special economic zone is, it possess a clear and plain land of about 9,200 acres which is best suited for the setting up of industries and other economic sectors. The area has already been identified and will be acquired soon without any hazard. Another very important aspect of this land is that, it does not have much habitation and agricultural activities in the near circle of it which assures the additional land areas for more industrial developments in the near future. To add to its value, it has been identified that 40 percent of the chosen land is saline which has absolutely no cultivation or vegetation. On the remaining part of the land, a single crop is cultivated. The saline land is considered a wasteland which is very much suitable for acquisition.

The land chosen to generate facilities of Andhra Pradesh special economic zone had no existing industries. The site for Andhra Pradesh special economic zone is bounded by sea on its east side and furthermore it is located in close proximity with the projected Muthyalampalem port. A road is along the coast connects the proposed site for Andhra Pradesh SEZ with the Muthyalampalem port and the site is also near to the proposed Gangavaram port. One of the advantageous feature of the site for (Andhra Pradesh Special Economic Zone) APSEZ is that, zone administration is very easy there as it usually remains deserted.

A 33 KV sub station is being set up at Atchutapuram and water can be made accessible in the APSEZ site from Yeluru canal. Water in River Sarada can be increased and Kondakarla Ava tank will be used as a storage reservoir of that water. This is a brief notification about the site's infrastructure.
