XLRI – Xavier Labour Research Institute, Jamshedpur is one of the premier business schools in India. Established in 1949 by Fr. Quinn Enright, XLRI School of Business and Human Resources offers a range of management programmes including full-time MBA, doctoral programs as well as some executive education programmes. Initially organized some management courses for the trade unions, XLRI – Xavier Labour Research Institute, Jamshedpur started offering 2-year day programme in Industrial Relations and Welfare from 1953. A 3-year Business Management (evening programme) was started from 1965, while the 2-year full time programme in Business Management was started from 1968. XLRI – Xavier Labour Research Institute, Jamshedpur marked its 50th anniversary by introducing a 3-year Executive Post Graduate Programme in Dubai.

Full Time Residential Programmes
BM and PM & IR:
In order to get admitted to a management programme of XLRI – Xavier Labour Research Institute, Jamshedpur, one needs to appear for XAT. Candidates need to fill up the online XAT form at www.xlri.edu. For this, they need to register first and get the XAT ID and password. One may apply for a maximum of 3 programmes.
XAT written test would consist of multiple choice questions. Shortlisted candidates would be called for Group Discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interview (PI).

- Those who have appeared for the final examination may also apply.
- Master's degree in any discipline / CA, ICWA or CS with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST), OR
- BE/B.Tech with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST)
- At least 5 years of full-time working experience (Executive/Managerial level) or minimum 3 years of full-time teaching/research experience.
- Master's degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/SC), OR
- CA, ICWA or CS with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST), OR
- BE/B.Tech with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST)
- 3-year Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Should be employed in a full-time job.
- Should have minimum 5-years of managerial experience.
- 3-year Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- At least 2-years of full-time post degree work experience.
