The types of IIM MBA programs provided are:
Full-time IIM MBA program is the most common and usually lasts for two years.
Accelerated IIM MBA programs are a variation of full time programs, lasting 18 months or less, involving a higher course load.
Part-time IIM MBA programs are mostly conducted on weekday evenings, after normal working hours. Part-time programs usually last three years or more. The students in these programs typically consist of working professionals.
Executive IIM MBA programs are developed to meet the educational needs of managers and executives, allowing them to earn an MBA degree in two years or less while working full time.
Distance learning IIM MBA classes are off-campus. These programs are offered via correspondence (postal mail/email), non-interactive broadcast video, pre-recorded video, live teleconference or video conference, offline or online courses.
IIM Ahmedabad offers four programs in management. The post graduate program (equivalent to MBA), the Fellowship program in management (equivalent to PhD), the Faculty Development Program, and the Management Development Program.
IIM Calcutta offers three full time programs. The post graduate program in management (equivalent to MBA), the Fellowship Program in Management, and the post graduate diploma in Computer Aided Management. IIMC also offers a part time post graduate diploma in Business Management for managers with work experience.
IIM Bangalore offers a two year full time PGP in Management (equivalent to MBA) and a Fellowship Program in Management. The institute also offers part time non-residential Post Graduate Program in Software Enterprise Management.
IIM Lucknow offers a two year full time residential Post Graduate Program in Management and a four year FPM program.
