IIPM had a branch in Pune which was part of the Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM) a private management education group which was founded in 1973 by Dr. M. K. Chaudhuri. The Pune branch did well with regards to enrolling students in business studies, entrepreneurship, economics and management programs.
During the time of its operation IIPM in Pune was known for which its emphasis was put on practical business learning, industry interaction, international exposure programs and management training. The institute fostered a setting which put classroom theory into real business practice.
In Mumbai which is a key education center in India, we had IIPM Pune which was a base for students’ academic growth, interaction with corporates, attendance at seminars, workshops and business related events.
The institute was a platform for students to study management concepts, business planning, leadership skills, and entrepreneurship. We saw to it that students’ got into the business operations and market practices through various learning experiences.

One of the IIPM’s notable projects was the Global Opportunities and Threat Analysis (GOTA) Program. Through our program what we did was take students to international business centers, universities and companies which in turn gave them exposure to different business settings. We designed into these visits which elements of international markets, business practices, management systems and economic changes in other countries which they would learn.
The program also included input from business professionals, academics, and industry experts.
IIPM at Pune organized factory tours, corporate office visits, and business organization tours.
These visits to which students went gave them a chance to see first hand work place operations, production processes, management practices, and business decision making in the real world.
Practical based activities which in turn saw students connect academic theories to business practices and industry needs.
The institute had business professionals, guest speakers, industry leaders, and academic experts as present.

The learning approach was a mix of classroom instruction and practical experience which included projects, presentations, and industry interaction.

The campus had its classrooms, a well stocked library, computer labs, seminar halls, and a great set of learning support resources. Also we saw to it that students had access to a large variety of academic and extra curricular activities which went throughout the year.

During the time of its operation IIPM in Pune reported to have placed out into a variety of sectors which included banking, finance, marketing, retail, consulting and corporate services.
