Madhya Pradesh Housing Board

The Madhya Pradesh Housing Board had been set up by the government of Madhya Pradesh as a corporate body under the 1972 Madhya Pradesh Griha Nirman Mandal Adhiniyam Act.

The Madhya Pradesh Housing Board is the only housing board in India that does not receive any subsidy from the government. The main objective of the housing board in Madhya Pradesh is to provide housing and basic accommodation to the needy people in the state.

In the state of Madhya Pradesh, the Madhya Pradesh Housing Board is the single largest builder and developer of real estate. The housing board contributes around 10,000 plots and 6,000 houses per year to the housing stock in the state. It has invested around ` 2,000 crore in the construction and housing sector.
