The cement plants in the state of Gujarat have been awarded with the prestigious OHSAS 18001 certification for the high quality safety and hazard control standards. There is a captive jetty at one of the plants at Gujarat. It is around 337 meters long and 23 metres wide. The jetty can handle ships which have around 45,000 DWT. Due to its facilities and services of high standards; the plant has been given the renowned EC certification.

The L & T Cement plant in Hirmi in the state of Chattisgarh produces some of the best varieties of cement, most of which are exported to other countries across the world. Most of the clinker is exported to countries such as Bangladesh and Nepal.
