Eicher Motors

Eicher Motors is a part of the Eicher Group. It was founded in 1982 to manufacture a range of reliable, fuel-efficient commercial vehicles. It is one of the leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles in India. It manufacturers and markets trucks, buses, automotive gears, motorcycle and deals with the exports vehicles, aggregate and components. It began its business operations in 1959 with the roll out of India's first tractor.

However, the Eicher Group doesn't manufacture tractors anymore, but has diversified into non-automotive sectors also. In 1986, Eicher Motors entered into a technical and financial collaboration with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation of Japan to manufacture the Canter range of vehicles. The technical assistance ended in March 1994. Eicher Motors is known for its quality products and has satisfied many customers. The manufacturing of Eicher motors is located at Pithampur, in Mashya Pradesh and Thane in Maharashtra.
