Progeon Indiais now called Infosys BPO and is a subsidiary of Infosys Technologies Limited. It was established in 2002 a business process outsourcing wing of Infosys. According to Nasscom rankings of 2004-05, Infosys was rated among the top 10 BPO companies in India.

Infosys BPO has more than 500 processes and provides solutions for all areas related to the domain of outsourcing. Progeon in Bangalore has been given a contract of USD 10 million per year from Ingram Micro Incorporation. The activities mainly involve back office processes.

The other functions to be carried on by Progeon are administrative functions like:

These functions will be done on behalf of the company Ingram Micro Incorporation by Progeon India. For this purpose, 400 professionals have been hired by Progeon. The revenue brought in by Progeon in 2006 amounted to USD 85 million. Progeon is India's 10th largest BPO firm and has over 7000 employees. For now, it is giving more importance to the non-voice based contracts which constitutes 80% of the total processes.
