Food Trade Shows in India are being held in large numbers. Annapoorna - World of Food India 2007, AHAAR 2008, Food Expo 2008, and IFE India 2007 are some of the major food trade shows. Food Trade Shows in India have given a major boost to the food industry in the country for they act as a platform for the interaction between the suppliers, catering companies, trading companies and also specialists that are related to the industry.

They act as meeting grounds for the catering companies, importers, suppliers, specialists, and trading companies that are related to the industry. Food Trade Shows in India also help in bringing in the latest technology into the industry. Food trade shows in India have helped in the growth of the industry. Food industry in India has grown from an industry worth around ` 3.09 trillion in 1993- 1994 to about ` 3.99 trillion in 2000- 2001. In 2007, the total worth of the Indian Food Industry is estimated to be around US$ 200 billion and by 2015, it is estimated to be worth about US$ 310 billion.

Food Expo 2008 will be held from 28th November to 1st, December in Parade Ground, Chandigarh, India. Food Expo 2008 is an international exhibition that is based on the industry of food processing and technology. AHAAR 2008 will be held from 10th March to 14th March in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. It is an international food trade fair that is held with the aim of giving boost to the development and growth of the sectors of food processing and hospitality in India. Anuga 2007 was held in Koln, Germany from 13th to 17th October. A large number of companies from the Food Industry in India attended Anuga 2007 in order to bring in investments from foreign food companies and also the latest technology into the industry.

Annapoorna - World of Food India 2007 was held between 19th and 21st November in Mumbai. The total number of visitors that were registered for the food trade show was around 4,736. Annapoorna - World of Food India 2007 acted as a meeting ground for buyers, trading companies, importers, and catering companies that are related to the food industry from across the world. IFE India 2007 was held from 6th to 8th December at Pragati Maidan Grounds, New Delhi. It attracted about 200 exhibitors from around 19 countries and it was visited by 6,881 people.
