Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited power generation units provide power to 4 southern states of India. Further, it is planning to expand its power generation capacity considerably to meet the ever rising power demand. It generates power from its 2 thermal power generation stations namely -

• Thermal power station I – with generation capacity of 600 MW and with additional capacity of 420 MW
• Thermal power station II - with generation capacity of 1470 MW
