VRS Foods is involved in the business of collecting quality milk since 1960. The products of VRS Foods are marketed under the brand name Paras. The products of VRS include skimmed milk powder, table butter, ghee, dairy whitener, milk, and de-mineralized whey powder.
The main objective of VRS Foods is to encourage the profitable manufacture of dairy products. VRS Foods has a very strong and wide procurement network that consists of over 3000 villages that are spread across the western parts of the state of Uttar Pradesh. VRS Foods has five production units that are of high standards and also comply with the standards of HACCP and ISO 9001-2000. The total handling capacity of these units is around 1.9 million liters each day.
VRS Foods has maintained the flavor, taste, and quality of its pure ghee and this has helped in making it a leader in the market. The company has also become the second biggest supplier of milk in the region of Delhi Metro. In August 2006, VRS Foods signed memorandum of understanding with the State Bank of India according to which the company will finance farmers to establish dairy units and also its entire value chain that includes pick up van, transportation, chilling plants and veterinary hospitals in Rajasthan and western parts of Uttar Pradesh.
