Kajaria Ceramics set up in 2006 helped increase Kajaria Ceramics Company's total production capacity of ceramic tiles to 26.4 m sq m. The manufacturing capacity of the company is the 2nd biggest in the ceramic tile industry in India. The Kajaria Ceramics Company operates in the vitrified tile segment but it does not manufacture these tiles in India. Instead, the company imports vitrified tiles according to its requirements.
Kajaria Ceramics is the biggest exporter from India of tiles that have been made from ceramics. The company has a wide network of dealers for it has around 600 dealers all over the country. In order to strengthen the company's retail marketing it has established a distribution subsidiary called Kajaria Plus. The Kajaria Ceramics Ltd. sells 80% of its products through the retail market. The company has the biggest market share in the northern states of India. Kajaria Ceramics exports its products to over 20 countries across the world.
The total income of the company amounted to Rs. 865.70 million in 2005-2006 and the next year the figure amounted to Rs. 983.70 million. The net profit of the Kajaria Ceramics Company amounted to Rs. 61.90 million in 2005- 2006 which increased to Rs. 22.80 million by 2006-2007.
Kajaria Ceramics has become the topmost company in the ceramic tile sector in India. This has happened due to the fact that the company has always maintained the quality of its products and thus ensured customer satisfaction and loyalty.
