The Turamdih mine was established in the year 2002, and is situated near the Tatanagar railway Station. The Turamdih mine is facilitated with an underground decline access and advanced trackless instruments. The list of other crucial instruments include LPDTs and electro-hydraulic drilling equipments.
Important Facts about Jaduguda and Bhatin Mines of Uranium Corporation of India Limited:
The mining work at Jaduguda mines started immediately after the establishment of Uranium Corporation of India Limited, in the same year. The Jaduguda mine is provided with special grade control facilities like Geiger Muller counters. Another mine named Bhatin Mine has been established near to the Jaduguda Mine. The most interesting fact about the two mines is that both Bhatin as well as Jaduguda Mines have incorporated horizontal cut as the mining procedure.
