Steel Authority of India Limited entered into a collaboration with Damodar Valley Corporation to supervise the huge generation of power nearing 302 megawatt within the Bokaro steel manufacturing unit. The collaboration has also been struck to superintend the large amounts of steam produced from the steel plant at Bokaro. Steel Authority of India Limited in order to add value to the steel produced by it entered into an agreement with BMW Industries Limited. They jointly initiated a service center for that reason and the ownership of this center has been divided between them in the ratio of 40 : 60.
The Manganese Ore India Ltd. has joined hands with Steel Authority of India Limited to develop a separate organization for the manufacture of two varieties manganese.
