The total sugar production of Gujarat Sugar Industry came to 12.38 lakh tons in 2002-2003, 10.77 lakh tons in 2003-2004, and 8.32 lakh tons in 2004-2005. The state government has also taken many measures in an attempt to boost the Sugar Industry in Gujarat.
