Rural Business Hub Initiative in Madhya Pradesh has been set up under the initiative of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. The Initiative of Rural Business Hub in Madhya Pradesh had its first meeting in June 2006.
RBH in Madhya Pradesh has been established so that it would bring about the development of the rural areas of the state. It is based on the Thai Model One- Tambon- One Product (OTOP). The Initiative of Rural Business Hub is also based on the concept of Public Private Panchayat Partnership (PPPP).
The chairman of Rural Business Hub Initiative in Madhya Pradesh is also the Chief Secretary of the Panchayats and Rural Development. This Rural Business Hub of Madhya Pradesh looks after the well being of many rural sectors such as poultry farming, medicinal plants, aquaculture produce, micro finance, food processing, bio- fuels, and hand loom and handicraft products.
