Finolex Industries Limited (FIL) was set up in the year 1981. From a humble start when the company used to manufacture PVC pipes, it has now become one of the leading producers of PVC and PVC fittings.

Finolex Industries is the biggest Indian PVC pipe manufacturer. The division of the Finolex Industries pertaining to the pipes is India's first IS/ISO 9002 manufacturing company. The present production capacity of the Finolex Industries Pipes Division is nearly 40,000 metric tons in a year. The power house of the Finolex Industries is its 2 state-of-the-art manufacturing units in Ratnagiri and Pune.

The company provides a variety of PVC pipes and fittings ranging from a diameter of 20 mm to a diameter of 400 mm, used for a number of purposes in different sectors like housing, agriculture, telecom, etc. Finolex Industries also produces specialty pipes and fittings pertaining to the same used for the waste, rain, and soil pipes in the construction industry

PVC or the poly vinyl chloride is a thermoplastic resin which is used in various applications and its variegated use has made it one of the most demanded raw materials. This polymer is one of the oldest used plastic. Presently the PVC is used in pipes and hoses, windows and profiles, insulation of cables, flooring tiles used in the building industry, films and sheets, blister packaging, agricultural products, foamed leather cloth, tarpaulins, curtains, blood bags, etc.

The range of Pipes and fittings manufactured by Finolex Industries includes:

• Selfit uPVC Pipes: These pipes are of the diameter range of 63 mm to 200 mm and in the pressure classes of 10kg, 6kg, and 4kg per square centimeter
• Ringtite uPVC Pipes: These are pipes manufactured with a special in built, dual contact sealing rubber ring. they come in range of 160 mm to 400 mm in pressure classes of 6kg, 4kg, 2.5kg per square centimeter
• Protector Well Casings & Screen: These pipes are produced for shallow well, of the depth of 80 meters and medium well of the depth of 250 meters. they come in range of 100 mm to 200 mm diameter for usage in the borewell
