JK Cements was set up by Late Lala Kamlapat Singhania and is under the J.K. Organization. The JK Cements Ltd.'s cement production started in 1975 at the company's first plant which is in Nimbahera, Rajasthan.

The Company JK Cements is one of the biggest manufacturers of cement in northern India and the company is also the 2nd biggest white cement manufacturer in India. JK Cements has 2 plants for the production of grey cement in Rajasthan. The manufacturing capacities of these plants are 0.75 million tons and 2.8 million tons per year. JK Cements has a plant for the production of white cement in Rajasthan. The production capacity of this plant is around 0.30 million tons per year. JK Cements Company commands a 13% market share in the northern part of the country in the grey cement market.

JK Cements holds the topmost position in the state of Haryana with an 18.4% market share. The other states where the products of the company are sold are Punjab, Delhi, and Rajasthan. In these states JK Cements also ranks as one of the leading companies. The company produces white cement under the brand names Camel and JK White.

The JK Cements Ltd. has in its access huge limestone reserves. The limestone is used in the manufacture of both white and grey cements. As the production units are situated close to the reserves of limestone this has helped the company to save in the costs of transportation. The distribution network of the company is wide with around 66 depots and over 4,000 retail stores. The total income of JK Company amounted to Rs. 3280.00 million and the net profit stood at Rs 525.00 million in 2006- 2007. The company is planning to expand in the near future by setting up a cement manufacturing unit.
