Chemplast Sanmar in India has a PVC pipe manufacturing facility at Ponneri near Chennai. The factory has an installed capacity of 25,000 tonnes per year. A large variety of pipes are manufactured. The variety of pipes manufactured includes casing, screen pipes, and pressure pipes. Conduits, SWR pipes and plumbing pipes are also made for commercial sale. The brand name of Chemplast Sanmar PVC pipes is 'Trubore'.
Production of Hyper Pure Polysilicon
Chemplast Sanmar of India produces hyper pure polysilicon in its manufacturing facility located at Mettur in Tamil Nadu. The plant has the capacity to produce 1.2 million silicon wafers per year. The commercial venture is the result of a Research and Development (R&D) venture between Chemplast Sanmar and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
