The Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited is a division of the flagship company of the Nagarjuna Group. Located in Hyderabad, it is an ISO 9001:2000 certified company. It is the largest and the only private sector investment in south India. Founded in 1985, today it has an asset base worth ` 21billion.

The NFCL produces and markets a wide range of fertilizers. Urea (widely used) nitrogenous fertilizer is manufactured at the Kakinada Plant as well as marketed and imported at the Kakinanda and the Vizag Ports. The farming community in Andhra depends to a large extent on the urea produced by Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (NFCL). NFCL presently markets around 0.6 million tons of imported urea and 1.2 million tons of manufactured urea annually. The main motive of NFCL is to equip the farmers with total, end-to-end solutions. NFCL has recently started marketing fertilizer mixtures through domestic sourcing and is all set to start production of potassic and phosphatic fertilizers in due course of time.

At present, NFCL is marketing products involving varied range of micronutrient mixes like Mahazinc, Zinc Sulphate, and micro-nutrients, and lays great importance on the quality of the commodity.

With associates like Yara of Norway and Haifa Chemicals Limited of Israel (HCL), this company is trying to create world-class solutions for their customers.

Nagarjuna Fertilizers Products

• Manufactured Products
  • Urea - white, free-flowing variety, with 46%N- prilled and anhydrous ammonia. It is used for production of DAP, fermentation, and water treatment.
• Marketed Products
  • Di-sodium Octa Borate Tetra Hydrate, Chelated Zinc as Zn-EDTA, Muriate of Potash, MOP (Potassium Chloride), Zinc Sulphate Mono-hydrate, and Di-ammonium Phosphate.
• NFCL also produces Specialty Fertilizers, Fertigation Products like multi-K, and poly-feed. These are used for foliar application that is recommended for various crops.

Apart from this, NFCL stresses on providing value-added services to the farmers in order to boost their farm productivity through the availability of latest scientific farming technology. The company also organizes several training initiatives to increase the technological expertise of the farmers and improve their knowledge of agriculture.
