The company is actively engaged in the upgradation of its standards and strives to incorporate more technological advancements in its working. In 1972, it was renamed McNally Bharat Engineering Company Limited. It was also recognized with ISO 9001 Certification by RWTUV, Germany.
In 1998, the company grabbed the opportunity to get into the mining sector and engaged itself in the production of spreaders and conveyors for Neyvelli Lignite Corporation Ltd. In 2004, the company was able to successfully construct cranes for level-luffling to be used at Kandla Port. The Goliath Crane was produced in 2005 for Cochin Shipyard. Around 674 houses in Tiruchirapally, Tamil Nadu were facilitated by the project which dealt with the proper management of water in that area. For Haldia Dock Complex, Mcnally Bharat Engineering Co. created a crane for the transfer of containers.

In 1968, Mcnally Bharat Engineering Co. created history by manufacturing the conveying system required for the production plant, within Talcher thermal power station. This production plant of Talcher's Power station deals with the utilization of coal for the production of power. In 1970, it took up 2 projects and constructed the fluorspar processing plant for Gujrat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. and a unique manufacturing unit for grinding carbon for Indian Aluminum.
Bharat Cooking Coal Ltd. was facilitated by the coal-washery built by the company at Jharkhand in 1979. Neyvelli Lignite Corporation Ltd. entrusted it with the construction of a conveying system for processing of ash in 2000. The company was able to produce a bucket wheel excavator that was able to take a load of 700 liters and in 2005, it was able to successfully completed one anode plant and lead processing plant at a very short span of time.

Mcnally Bharat Engineering Co. was acquired by another company called Williamson Magor Group in 1980 and it was in 1989 that the G.P. Birla Group came forward to take up 24% of the shares of the company. The company later joined hands with Eriez Magnetics, USA to produce magnetic instruments for the detection of metals in 1999. In 2002, Kone Cranes VLC Corporation permitted Mcnally Bharat Engineering Co. to adopt its technological advancements in the field of instruments required in ports. In the same year, it took over Eroterv-Waagner-Biro, a Hungarian company which was known for its excellence in pneumatic conveying and constructed huge apron conveyors for Nalco's Aluminum Plant.
