In 1961, Nestle made its first investment in India by setting up the company's first factory in Moga. The company's second factory in India was established at Choladi, Tamil Nadu in 1967. Nestle's third factory in the country became operational in the state of Karnataka in 1989 and its fourth factory started in Haryana in 1993. The company's fifth and sixth factories in India have been commissioned in Ponda and Bicholim. Nestle India's seventh factory in the country has been commissioned at Pant Nagar, Uttarakhand in 2006.
