The North Western Cacher Tea was incorporated in 1876 as a Public Limited Company. This tea company produces full bodied, bright tea for ready domestic use. It also auctions for foreign buyers through tea auction houses in Calcutta and Guwahati.

The North Western Cacher Tea company owns two tea estates in Assam, in the eastern part of India. The two tea estates of North Western Cacher Tea Company are Bicrampore Tea Estate and the Silcoorie Tea Estate. The annual production of tea from these two tea estates was around 1,500,000 kg. in 2005. The company operates through a well spread network across India.

Bicrampore Tea Estate - Is situated, 65 kms. away from Silchar airport, near Chandranathpur Railway crossing, and spreads over 1250 hectares. This estate produces around 650,000 kg of tea annually (as per estimates of 2005).

Silcoorie Tea Estate - Situated in Silchar and spreading over 900 hectares, the Silcoorie Tea Estate produces around 550,000 kg annually.
