Suashish Diamonds is one of the largest diamonds exporting companies in India with its main office at Mumbai. Suashish Diamonds Ltd. (SDL) mainly deals in polished diamonds, jewelry, and retailing through its brand Ishi's.

SDL is widely known across the world for its excellence in cutting and polishing rough diamonds and exporting them. Suashish has its markets in around 25 cities in India through more than 100 retail outlets. As far as global market is concerned, SDL has activities spread over USA, Japan, Europe, and Israel. SDL has its marketing offices Hong Kong, USA, UAE, China, and Botswana. Suashish Diamonds has a wide variety of diamonds in stock which includes whites, off-whites, silver capes, and white natts. These are available in sizes from 0.005 pts to 2 carats. Diamonds that are shaped in SDL are available in round, princess, tapers, baguettes, and marquise cuttings.

Suashish is more popular for its export trade of polished diamonds in developed countries. Mr. Shroff, the CEO of SDL commented in one of his interviews that while his export business prevails in the developed countries, he would like to launch his own brand called Ishi's in the developing regions such as India, West Asia, and South Asia including China. Ishi's has already started to capture the international market with its global strategy through its outlet at Dubai. The collection of diamonds has been segmented in accordance with the international market structure mainly in Europe, India, and the Arab world. The company offers large and mid-sized jewelry chains, departmental stores, and independent retailers.

According to the financial results declared for its 2nd quarter on 30th June, 2007 SDL achieved a turnover of ` 182.56 crore and witnessed a triple hike in profit after tax (PAT) from ` 8.37 crore in 2006 to ` 26.33 crore in 2007. In India, the local diamond segment of Suashish achieved an increase of more than 26% in 2006. SDL's own brand Ishi's has also tapped the market quite extensively and now it can be found in 130 outlets all over India and the Middle East.

Suashish Diamonds is now planning to expand its market globally as well as in India, along with establishing new stores for its brand Ishi's. SDL is spending heavily on boosting its activities and building newer infrastructures for better trade and property growth.
