Sujana Metal Products Limited was incorporated in the year 2000 and is gaining significant popularly as the largest manufacturer of steel products in south India. By generating high quality steel products, SMPL also conforms to global standards.
The company customizes steel merchandise and scrupulously succumbs to customer needs. SMPL deals with 4 broad divisions:
Galvanized Towers and TMT are two leading products that have contributed towards making SMPL the largest steel making company in south India. These 2 products have a significant position in other markets as well. Recently, Sujana Metal has introduced high voltage towers with capacities of more than 400KVA.
The trade division of Sujana Metal Products Limited usually looks after the telecom and power-sector applications. This division of the company deals with the rates offered to the customers and supplies value-added steel products to the telecom and power industry. Sujana Metal Products has 4 plants and 15 offices in India and abroad. For its manufacturing of wide-ranging construction and steel products, SMPL is listed on BSE, HSE, and NSE. An appeal for the consolidation of Sujana Steels Limited with SMPL has been approved by the high court of Andhra Pradesh and the scheme came into effect on 4th May, 2007. However, Sujana Steels Limited will be dissolved and SMPL's Towers Manufacturing division will be transmuted to STL.

The USP of Sujana Metal is that it is one of those rare companies in India that produce steel structures with various specifications. This is known to be the value-added service rendered by SMPL's skilled structured engineering unit. At present, Sujana Metal Products Limited has a capacity of 55,000 MT to manufacture structured steel but soon it will be expanding it and reaching a capacity of 70,000 MT. With this range of 55,000 MT, the company is meeting 40% steel requirement but as soon as it will reach 70,000 MT, the company will definitely cater to around 80% of steel requirement in the Towers division.
