Alfa Laval (I) or Alfa Laval India Ltd. is the Indian arm of the Swedish based parent company, the Alfa Laval Group. Alfa Laval (I) has its presence in India since 1937 and manufactures and supplies components and systems in separation, heat transfer, and flow technology.
The parent company of Alfa Laval Group was established in 1883 by Mr. Gustaf de Laval. Over the years, the company established itself as a pioneer in the area of heat transfer and fluid handling technology. It invented various industrial continuous separators. The parent company, Alfa Laval, operates in more than 70 countries across the globe. Alfa Laval (I) had only nominal presence in 1937 and it acted only as a selling outlet of Alfa Laval products. In the year 1961, its production unit at Pune, India was established, which is when the company started manufacturing plants and equipment for food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. Later, in 1987, the Indian arm of Alfa Laval Group was rechristened Alfa Laval India Limited and then Alfa Laval became the holding company. The Alfa Laval (I) sales offices in India are located at New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Indore, and Baroda.
