VST Industries is an affiliate of British American Tobacco (BAT), UK which held a 32.16% stake in the company. Some of the major brands manufactured by the company are Charminar, Charminar Special Filter, Charms Mini Kings and Charms Virginia Filter, XL Filter and Shaan.

VST Industries Ltd has worked in association with ITC for the trading of tobacco. The massive amount of revenue of the company was earned from the sales of cigarettes. VST Industries also sells non-manufactured and cut tobacco apart from the cigarettes. The manufacturing unit of VST Industries Ltd is located in Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The processing units of the company has the Hauni KT2 Stem Cutter which is used for a better filling and less tobacco wastage. The secondary manufacturing unit also had auto feed systems on individual making machines to provide more longevity to the products. Hallmark Tobacco Company, the wholly-owned subsidiary of VST Industries went into collaboration with another wholly-owned subsidiary, VST Distribution, Storage & Leasing Company.
