The rising prices of petrol are making the life of Indian’s miserable. The price of petrol has increased several times in the last one year. The common man has no other alternative but to find a way to manage all his expenses yet again. Despite of all the protests and demonstrations, the Government of India is incompetent to find a solution to the issue of rising prices.

The price of Petrol in Agartala on 16th January 2011 was 54.98 rupees/liters. Within a span of four months, the price of petrol increased by more than seven rupees. The price of Petrol on 5th May 2011 was 62.32 Rupees. It increased by 0.28 rupees in the next two months whereas the next increase was of 3.15 rupees. The price of petrol on 16th September 2011 was 65.75 rupees. The price of petrol in Agartala along with the rest of India surged yet again and petrol which was available for a cost of 54.98 rupees in the beginning of the year required people to shell out 67.55 rupees in the month of November. However, the prices showed a declining trend and were reduced by three rupees in the month of November.
