Petrol Price Hike in Ahmedabad 2012

If there is one problem that kept the citizens of India concerned, other than corruption of course, it is the problem of rising petrol prices. The leading metropolitan cities of the country have to suffer even more on account of hike in petrol prices.

The price of Petrol in Ahmedabad as on 16 January 2011 was 62.28 rupees/litre. On May 15th 2011 the prices were up by 5.25 rupees and one now had to pay 67.53 rupees for a litre of petrol. The next time prices changed was on 1st of July and buying petrol created a bigger hole in the pocket of a common man who had to spend 67.96 rupees for petrol now. Following a hike of 3.3 rupees on 16th September 2011, the price of petrol in Ahmedabad as on 4th November 2011 was 73.15 rupees. Indians took a sigh of relief when the prices declined first in November and then in the month of December. The current price of petrol in the city is 69.99 rupees.
