DCL Polyester
DCL Polyester, at present known as the CentralIndia Polyesters Limited is one of the leading petrochemical unit inIndia producing polyester yarn. The annual capacity of the CentralIndia Polyesters Limited is of 46,000 MT. For the financial year 2005-06 the total turnover of the company was ` 356.13 crore.
In 1990, DCL Polyester Limited set up a Polyester Filament Yarn project at Mouda near Nagpur in Maharashtra. This plant was heavily equipped with one continuous poly line, six direct spinning lines, two extruder spinning lines, and other associated utilities and offsites. There was also a 3200 kVA inverter installed inside the polyester plant to protect the production from power cut problems. In the year 1994, the capacity of the plant was further increased with the incorporation of four more extruder spinning lines.
In general, the main business of DCL Polyester, presently known as the CentralIndia Polyesters Limited revolves round the development and manufacture of polyester filament yarn. However, the principal activities of the company are also concerned with the marketing of this polyester yarn. Among other products of the company, noteworthy are like -

Although the main manufactured product is Polyester POY or Partially Oriented Yarn, the DCL Polyester, presently known as the CentralIndia Polyesters Limited also deals with FDY or Fully Drawn Yarn line. Some other specialty products such as Dope Dyed Yarn like black and colored dope dyed and bleach white Partially Oriented Yarn are also produced by the plant with the extruder machines.
