IG Petrochemicals is one of the leading petrochemical industries inIndia, producing Phthalic Anhydride essential for manufacturing Plasticizers, textile dyes and pigments, varnish, paint, flexible PVC, and Unsaturated Polyester Resins. In the year 2006-07, the IG Petrochemicals reached a turnover of Rs 58,097.52 lakhs and the Net Profit of the company touching Rs 2,968.93 lakhs for the same year.
Activities of IG Petrochemicals :
IG Petrochemicals have earned their acclamation in the petrochemical sector with the production of Phthalic Anhydride. This is used for the manufacturing of Plasticizers, which is most essential in the production of PVC products, shoe soles, cables, pipes and hoses, leather cloth, film for packaging and other products. Another product for which Phthalic Anhydride is used is the Alkyd Resins required for manufacturing of paints and in the production of Unsaturated Polyester Resins for building materials and plastic products. Phthalic Anhydride is also useful in the manufacture of textiles and printing inks.
Performances of IG Petrochemicals :
The IG Petrochemicals is very eco friendly company and to keep the environment clean is one of their main concerns. The Maleic acid rich water is recycled to manufacture Maleic Anhydride. The IG Petrochemicals also mixes the Phthalic Anhydride distillation residues and then fires them in the heat transfer oil heater as fuel. Moreover, IG Petrochemicals is the largest inIndia and among the top three producers of Phthalic Anhydride in the world. It is listed on the leading stock house inIndia, Bombay Stock Exchange and being a Six-Sigma practicing company IG Petrochemicals have been accredited with ISO 9000:2000 certification.
